About Laser Tattoo Removal
WHAT IS LASER MICROBLADING REMOVAL?
Laser tattoo removal is a non-invasive treatment that uses targeted pulses of laser energy to break down tattoo ink within the skin. The laser heats and shatters the ink into tiny particles, which are then gradually flushed away by the body’s natural lymphatic system.
Our advanced Nd:YAG laser features multiple wavelengths — 532nm, 755nm, and 1064nm — allowing us to effectively treat a wide range of ink colours:
532nm targets red and orange
755nm targets green and blue pigments
1064nm targets dark inks like black and deep brown
This versatility makes it suitable for both body tattoos and cosmetic tattoo removal, including microblading and powder brows. The laser penetrates safely without damaging surrounding tissue, and results improve gradually with each session.
Questions About Laser Tattoo Removal
LASER TATTOO REMOVAL FAQs
-
Most clients say it feels like a rubber band snapping against the skin. It can be uncomfortable but is usually manageable.
If you are planning to have your eyebrows redone after removal then you may not require as many sessions, but again this would depend heavily on colour and saturation.
-
A few factors will affect the number of sessions required, such as colour, type of pigment use, amount of pigment in the skin, how deep that pigment is etc. Microblading removal typically requires 3–6 sessions, while body tattoos usually take 6–12 sessions, depending on the ink depth, color, and age of the tattoo.
-
Yes! Our Nd:YAG laser targets ink while leaving the surrounding skin and brow hair unharmed.
-
Most colours can be treated, including black, blue, green, red, and orange. Darker colours are typically more responsive to the laser, however some colours are more challenging.
-
Sessions are usually spaced 6–8 weeks apart to allow your skin to heal and your body to flush out the broken-down ink particles.
-
You might experience whitening of the area, plus bruising, soreness, swelling, blistering, OR scabbing. These are normal and part of the healing process, full aftercare advice will be given at your appointment to support healing.
-
Yes, a patch test is required at least 48 hours before your first treatment to ensure your skin reacts safely to the laser.
-
Absolutely! Once the pigment has faded enough area and the area has fully healed (8 weeks after your last laser session), you can have new microblading or brow treatments done with a clean base.
-
It’s completely normal for your brows to appear reddish or pink after an initial laser removal session. This happens because the laser targets darker pigments first. Once those darker tones are reduced, the underlying red or warm tones may become more visible.
These residual colours can then be targeted using a different laser wavelength, such as 532nm, which is effective for red and orange pigments.
